What's the cheapest way to reach my customers? |
| This is a question I hear all of the time, and as a business owner, and I always give the same answer, It is far cheaper to keep a current customer than it is to try and get a new one.
Sounds simple right? If I were to ask you if you had great customer service, you would say yes.and I would not argue, you probably do. But what are you really doing to keep that customer once they made that purchase and walked out the door?

| People always want to know what the value is to them when they purchase something, this is where E-mail marketing plays a key role. This isn't that annoying spam that shows up in your mail box, but rather important information your target market has asked for you to provide. In a recent survey I conducted to local businesses, over 60% said they would like me to send them a monthly newsletter on ways to better market their business, which is why a lot you are receiving this email. This is the value I am providing for free to maintain them as customers, or build trust so they will become customers. |
Let your customer know you care about there needs! |
| People want the best value for their money when
purchasing from you. No one hates going to an accountant more than
me, I don't know why, but I just do. I hear from my accountant once
or twice a year, when I call him! I have never gotten a call for
him, except to say the work is done, and this is how much I owe. Now
if I received an email once a month giving me tax saving tips or
better ways to allocate my money, I would consider my money well
spent, in fact, I would value him and never leave. As it sits, I am
looking for an accountant that can provide me with that kind of
value, one that shows me, he or she is looking after my best
interests through the year, I would even pay more knowing they are
looking out for me. |
Providing more value to your customer makes you stick out! |
| Your business is probably way different than an accountant, you probably see your customers on a daily or weekly basis, but I want to tell you that they are no different than any other customer out there. They want value in what they are buying off you, and if you can't provide it, your competition will. With today's technology and having information at your fingertips, I can guarantee your current customers sees information about your competition regularly. The question is what kind of value are you going to give them so they are not interested in the competition at all. |
